There is nothing called COGI deactivation. Probably you are meaning that you are setting in confirmation parameters that system should "Terminate or Error" when goods movement error occurs.
This way there will not be any Issues, if the Posting by the Inventory department and QI department is happening intime. This also helps the Production person to set right data inareas where GR storage location or Issue storage location is not defined.
