Hi William,

What is the version of your J2EE Engine ?

To be able to perform alert monitoring using the CCMS, you require the ABAP Engine of the SAP Web Application Server 6.20 or higher as a central CCMS monitoring system.

Hi William,

This is a known issue

Please check SAP Note:

Note 929635 - "CCMS Agent Configuration" tab page is missing

Summary

Symptom

The CCMS agents cannot be automatically registered from the Visual Administrator, as the "CCMS Agent Configuration" tab page is not displayed in the "Monitoring" service of the Dispatcher.

This problem can occur in the following release levels:

  • SAP NetWeaver 04 Support Package Stack 13 to Support Package Stack 16

  • SAP NetWeaver 04s to Support Package Stack 7

Other terms

CCMS agents, SAPCCMSR, INSTANCE.BOX.NUMBER

Reason and Prerequisites

You cannot find information about existing instances of the J2EE cluster, as the property "instance.box.number" does not exist or has an incorrect value.

Solution

In principle, there are two possible solutions:

  • Enter the property "instance.box.number" or correct it.

Note 927561 describes how you can determine the present value of the property. It also describes how you can change the value of the property or, if it does not exist, how you can insert the value.

Note 812910 describes how you can determine the correct value of the property.

The property "instance.box. number" must have a valid value for every instance of the cluster.

After you implement the correction, you must start the cluster in order to activate the changes. The tab page is then available and you can register from the Visual Administrator.

  • Manually register the CCMS agent

Register the agent manually instead of from the Visual Administrator. Note 817714 describes the steps you need to carry out in order to register the agent manually.

Manual registration must be carried out for every individual instance.

927561 - Missing instance.box.number in the instance.properties on DI

817714 - Agent registration not possible from Visual Administrator

812910 - Error during 'Update Configuration'

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Siddhesh
