Can somebody throw some light on XCM?

Why do we have to use XCM? Is it mandatory for the web shop to be up and running? Can you direct me to any XCM documentation?

Thanks!

Hi King,

XCM is a mandatory component for CRM ISA webshop. All the required connections like IPC, backend CRM, TREX, webserver etc need to be maintained in ISA via XCM.

Here is the URL to the XCM : http://hostname:portnumber/b2b/admin/xcm/init.do

In XCM you need to create individual components for the above listed systems and finally assign these components to the customer scenario. So the webshop can be accessed via this customer scenario.

As Rekha suggested, refer to the best preactice document C14-Internet sales for more understanding on the XCM

HI

King, Adding note to Rekha if you want to configure for B2B webshop by XCM the configuration is

B2C XCM Configuration for Webshop for Log On button PAGE

In the XCM configuration, follow the path 'General Application Settings' --> Customer --> B2C --> b2c config

In the component configuration details, check the parameter SSLEnabled. Set it to false.

Reward if helpful

Hi Aragorn

XCM stands for Extended Configuration Management. It is useful for the configuration and upgrade purpose. User Interface settings can be maintained differently for each scenario such as Enterprise Sales, Internet Sales and so on, to match the requirements of users of these scenarios and is done using XCM.

You can get the XCM related settings in the best practices for

1. C14: CRM E-Commerce

2. C74: CRM E-Service on

Hope this would help
