Hi,
When we download prduct and product category through crm midllewar I came across the words independent and dependent objects.
Can any body explain with clear cut example.
Thanks & Regards,
Raghu
There is a particular sequence in which objects have to be exchanged between the various systems. A distinction is made for this purpose between the so-called independent objects and the dependent objects.
Independent objects can always be processed in parallel, thereby improving performance. A dependent object, however, cannot be forwarded until the associated independent object has been transferred to the other system.
Example: An order can be passed to R/3 only after the customer who placed the order has been created in R/3. Once the customer has been successfully created, the order becomes available to R/3 together with the new customer number. If, however, the new customer is rejected by R/3 (because of missing entries, for example), then the order will also be rejected

Hi Raghu,
In master data replication you have Customizing objects and business objects.
Customizing objects are the ones like material groups, Units of measures and Product hierarchies where as business objects are like material master and service master.
Here Customizing objects are independent objects and business objects are dependent objects because for replication of these business objects you should have customizing objects replicated already so that the materials and services can have the logical linkage.
Clarifications are welcome.
