Hi Sumit,
For leather industries it is best to go for process industry scenario
Go for product Grouping,SOP
You may need to go for production versions,Phantom BOM etc
Elaborate your As is,i may be able to lend you some help as iam aware of this industry

Hello, Sumit.
It is hard to know if such document for PP implementation in leather industries exists.
I would suggest to prepare a block diagram where the main process and products (raw materials, intermediates, etc.) are depicted. The detail degree required could give a first approach on this industry.
Additionally, use some key categories to define the PP model:
- Variation and Frequency of Final Product
- Requirements of Order Mgmt
- Plant Integration
- QM Integration
- Batch or Shift wise Production
At first glance, it could be Discrete or even PP-PI . but there are not fixed rules on this; your customer requirements can have a strong impact on the final choice.
Hi Sumit,
Typically a leather industry involves diff. type of sellable products as, so it is definately recomended that you should go for Discrete Manufacturing. One more point to keep in mind that more & more manual activities are there in this type of industry so it is bit difficult to put cost object on these. So Map only those processes which are automized and make standard cost calculation for the manual activities.
If you can elaborate the industry business process then more suggestins can be given.
Rgds,
Umesh
