I need to setup a scenario to send data from my XI to an external EDI Partner. For connecting with EDI what are all the things I have to do fundamentally?
Hi,
you need EDI Adapters to be installed in your system.

Hi,
When you are Working with EDI , we need to Install the Seburger EDi Adapter in XI Machine.
BIC Mapper will be there in Seburger Adapter, Using this you have to develop the Mapping there & U can Generate the XML File & then provide this XML File to XI to Process Furhter.

Hi
when you want to send the data to the EDI subsystem using XI you can use the Seeburger adapters .
seeburger has provide the following adapters
File
AS2
X400P7....
so you can use any adapter as per your requirement.
During the adapter configuration you have to define the mapping name in the modules tab of the adapter. the mapping is basically used to convert the XML to EDI, so that it can be understand by the EDI subsystem
Thanks

U have the following options
1. Use the existing third party adapters like Seeburger EDI adapter
2. Write ur own adapter module for file adapter
3. Use of iWay adapter

Hello Jenni,
Depends on what your EDI system can understand.
