Client copy cancelled in dev server

Hi ,

I am new member to this community .

I have local client copy problem in dev server, client copy is cancelled .

Pls help me regarding this .

Thanx in advance .

Hi,

I find one problem "Zone CET is Set Automatically. Change Using STZAC". Try correcting this using transaction STZAC.

Can you see the reason for the failure from scc3. Let me update with more findings.

1)I had a check with scc3 log

when i login to the new client with sap* ,cilent copy is cancelled due to temse problem .

It is failed to create a log in scc3 also .

For client copy IN db02 i had added tablespace also initially 9 % space was free after adding tablespace to,

psapdev -40 gb

psapdev640-40 gb

system-- 5 gb

in sm21 show temse related error .

Could anybody guide me regarding this problem .

Note : I had not done any setting regarding temse .

Note :this is fresh installation of dev server

This is very very urgent |

I am not sure whether this will give some clue.

Can you try sp12 --> temse data storage --> consistency check.

Check whether you get any error.

i have also checked sp12 ,its ok.

I found errors in dev_w4 trace log i am pasting the same.

In this trace log shows error .

I couldnt to judge the error .

As I have installed new development server .

i had checked scc4 settings for 000 client changes are not allowed .

i think it not permissible to to aalow changes in 000,if i am wrong correct me.

In 000 - SCC4 changes should be allowed. Do u have the right authorizations? Try with DDIC or SAP*

In client 000 i had checked with sap*/ddic login will not allow to change bcoz all Default client settings are,

protection level 1

client specific changes are not allowed

cross client changes --changes to repository and cross client customizing allowed

As per your messege i had also checked se06 ,but its setting are already in modifyable .

in stzac does not allow to change the settings as i previously told u tried with sap*/ddic logins .

But through discussions stzac topic is opened , ia m moving ahead according to posted messeges .

If you are havin problems in 000, try to change it thro STZAC in any of the clients, it will be reflected in all the clients.

Dear Sir,

I<b> had installed a fresh development server and doing client copy from 000 to 100 but it is not performing.</b>

Diagnosis

The client copy has been cancelled.

System response

This can be because:

1. The program was stopped by a user.

2. The program terminated due to an error in an application EXIT

module.

3. The SAP R/3 System has been shut down.

4. An inconsistency occurred in the database with the Data Dictionary

(DDIC) of the R/3 System (Nametab or table definitions).

5. You received an ABAP/4 database inconsistency error message.

6. You get an ABAP/4 dump, e.g. with error cause timeout.

Procedure

To solve the problem, you must first identify the cause, as follows:

1. The Client Copy Log (transaction SCC3) tells you where the error

occurred, i.e. the last phase processed and the last exit program

(for phase N?) or the last table processed (for phase C?).

The associated file log often contains further information.

2. If the copy was scheduled in the background, analyze the job log and

any background job (transaction SM37) spool.

3. If the program was cancelled before the reason for the cancellation

could be logged, check the SysLog (transaction SM21) and the Runtime

Analysis (transaction ST22).

If it is a remote copy, check the SysLog in the source system.

4. For table definition (DDIC) problems, check the table with the

Database Utility (transaction SE14).

If the error occurred in an exit program or application function module,

you can get the application component of the exit from the log (either

directly in the overview page, or under Details -> Exit Program). Search

for a note in the note system with the name of the application exit.

Note 22541 contains further information about analyzing errors and

searching for notes.

When you have resolved the error, you can continue the copy, in restart

mode if the copy phase had already been reached.

This log is not enough to investigate.

Going by your previous SCC3 logs....

The only 2 problems that can be found are Time Zone and Temse

1. Did you set the time zone through STZAC?

2. You hav replied that there are no inconsistent obj whn checked thro Temse Consistency check. So this should be fine.

If both the above are done, run a fresh client copy and then paste the SCC3 and SM21 logs. The log u gave in the last reply is not enough.

1)Regarding STZAC is in display mode (client 000 / 001) ,since it is in display mode only i coudlnt set the time zone.

SCC4 -> Changes to client Specific Object -> Set it to -> Automatic Recording of changes

cross client changes --changes to repository and cross client customizing allowed

Client Type should not be 'Production'

SE06- All settings should be 'Modifiable'

Now try to change, should work!

Has to be some settings in Se06. Please double check all the settings in SE06, particular SAP Basis Component. Make sure all are 'Modifiable'

Dear Sir,

In 001 ,se06 global setting OPTION IS SET TO modifable

But in downwards there are three components that are set to Restricted Modifable.

Those SOFTWARE components settings are RESTRICTED MODIFIABLE.

1) Cross Application component

2)Logistic and Accounting

3)Sap Basis Component

4)HumanResource

if i modify any of the above component system messege gives SYSTEM COMPONENT SAP _BASIS CA NOT BE SET TO MODIFABLE.

UNDER THAT NAMESPACE/NAME RANGE IS AVAILABLE.

IN THAT ALL COMPONENTS STATUS IS MODIFABLE.

Se06 setting is fine.

In my system all the settings is same as urs, and I am able to change it. Not sure why you are havin probs.

Try with Protection Level ..just a hit and trial method.
