I need to do the transport from DEV to QA. We have Independent SLD's for DEV and QA. (BS_DEV should be BS_QA and TS_100 to TS_200)

How should I create the Transport Group (in which SLD), Transport Target (in which SLD), How should I do the Transport.

Hi Jenni,

You need to define the transport targets in ur QA sld.

Create the following in ur QA or you can export from DEV and import in QA.

Business System -- BS_DEV

Technical System -- TS_ 100

Also create a entry for ur XI Development server in QA SLD . Make the role of XI Dev server as integration server and assign group Dev to it.

Assign group QA to XI Qa server.

Now go to BS_DEV. Click on transports and define the target as BS_QA.

Thanks Sumit. You are asking me to create

Transport group 1 (For DEV Objects in Dev SLD)

Transport group 2 (For QA objects in Q SLD)

Transport Target in Q SLD

In Q box -go to BS_DEV. Click on transports and define the target as BS_QA.

No not in dev SLD. Create the transport group 1 in QA SLD.

Whatever i have asked you to create has to be done in QA SLD.

Thank you sumit.

So I need to create two transport groups in Q box, DEVGroup - for my Dev (BS and TS) and QA Group for my Q (BS and TS).

First Transport the Dev SLD objects into DevGroup in Q box.

Second create a target group in Q sld where I will be connecting DevGroup and QAGroup?

Whether my understanding is correct?

Hi Jenni,

You have got it somewhat , but not all that you are saying is what i meant.

Let me start all over again ..

1) You need to export your DEV SLD TS/BS and import them in QA SLD. You dont need to export all the systems from your dev sld, only those systems which you have used in ID and additionally TS/BS for XI Dev server.

2) In your QA SLD create Group DEV and assign the Group to XI Dev Server Business System.

3) In your QA SLD create Group QAS and assign the Group to XI QA Server Business System.

4)Now in your QA SLD select the businesss system BS_DEV and in the lower part of the window click on the Targets tab. Click on add and then select the group as QAS and the business system as BS_QAS.
