super BOM creation

hi can someone tell me how to create and utilize super BOM(step by step process in img and easy access) its very urgent for me.

scenario :1

create main item.sub item.Mainitem's item catagory group ERLA,sub item catagory group NORM

/n cs01 create BOM

ENTER mainitem,BOM usage 5

enter sub item .

in t.code va01 create s.order.enter main item,sub item automatically come.in this scenario only header item only relevant for pricing, inventory.

scenario 2: create main item with item catagory group LUMF.follow same procedure.here, sub item only relevant for pricing,inventory

check in T.CODE vov4

FOR SCENARIO 1

OR+ERLA--->TAQ

ORNORM-TAQ-->TAE

FOR SCENARIO 2:

OR+LUMF--->TAP

ORNORM-TAP->TAN.

TCODE :

/n cs02..change view of BOM

/n cs03 display view of BOM

/n cs11...BOM EXPLOSION

BYE..give REWARD if it is usefull

Thanks.SUPER BOM CONFIGURATION STEPS:

Multi level BOM refers to exploding the BOM in a single order at different levels,

SCOPE:1

for single level BOM determination at the componenet level: ( item level)

or+ lumf..> tap

or+ lumf+ tap…> tan

multi level Bom:

or+ lumf…> tap

or+ lumf +tap…> tan +tap(manual item cat)

(OR)

or+ lumf…> tap

or+ lumf+ tap..> tap

maintain BOM structure in CS01.

ex: if in the case of item level

main item X is entered then sub items 1,2,3 appears, then if u want to further

explode sub item 2 to 5,6. (maintain the structure also in CS01)then configure at the item category determination level as mentioned above

For Main item pricing go to VOV7 and select TAQ , go to structure scope and keep B(Explode Multi BOM)

2. then go to v0v4 do the settings

OR +ERLA…> TAQ

OR+ NORM +TAQ..> TAE

OR +NORM +TAE..> TAE

1st Bom is

COMPUTER - header item : item category group ERLA

z1-components

z2-components

2nd Bom

Processor- header : item cat. group – ERLA

P1-component

P2-component

while creating COMPUTER in CS01 t.code just put

z1, z2 and Processor as the components. So you have now a bom item COMPUTER which has Processor as a component which is again a BOM{(i.e)P1&P2are theComponent of Processor}.

Whether its ERLA or LUMF make sure you map the item categories as per your requirement properly in VOV4( item cat. determination).

Also for the main item COMPUTERin its item category control VOV7 for the field structure scope select the field value as " B ". This helps explode a multilevel BOM.

FIRST u create the main material and the componenet materials . in CS01 u create a bom witm main material and in tht u enter the components.... u can write dependencies for those components....

BILL OF MATERIAL

The Material Ordered, Delivered and Billed consists of one or Several Components.

These components are called as Bill Of Materials

The Material Ordered by the Customer is referred as Main Item or Higher Level item. The Components are referred as Sub-items.

When we enter the Main-item in the Sales documents, the Components are automatically determined and this is called as expansion of Bill Of Materials.

In SD, we treat the processing of Boms in two ways.

Processing at Main-item.

Processing at the Sub-item

The Processing in both cases is controlled by the Item Categories and Schedule line Categories.

Step: 1

Prepare the Martial Master for all the Materials, which is main-item and Sub-item.

In the Material Master, the Item Category group of the Main-item is important.

We need to Maintain the item category group for the Main-items and sub-items as follows.

Scenario Main-Item Sub-Item

Processing at ERLA NORM

Main-item level

Processing at LUMF NORM

Sub-items

Item Category TAQ TAE

Schedule line CP CT

Step: 2

Let us take Computer as a Bom. It has Varies parts like Mouse, keyboard, Motherboard, Ram, CPU.

Let us take Computer has the main-item, and sub-item as the rest.

Prepare Material Master. We have to Prepare Material Master for Main-item and Sub-items.

T-Code: MM01

First Prepare for Computer which is the Main-item.

In Sales: General/Plant. Maintain ERLA in the Item Category Group

Then Create and Save the Material Master

Step: 3

Create Material Master for the Sub-item. That is for Keyboard, Mouse,

Motherboard, Ram & CPU.

In Sales: General/Plant. Maintain NORM in the Item Category Group

Similarly Create Material Master for the rest of the Sub-item and SAVE.

Step: 4

Create Material Bom.

T-Code: CS01

Enter the Details

Material no: xxxxxx

Plant: xxxxxx

Bom Usage: 5

Then Enter

Step: 4A

A screen will pop-up. Enter the details of Components such as:

Mouse , keyboard, Motherboard, Ram etc, in the screen

Then SAVE

Step: 5

Create Condition Record.

T-Code: VK11

Maintain Pricing for only the Main-item.

Maintain Pricing only for Main-item.

Thas is Computer.

Then SAVE

Step: 6

Create Sales Order

T-Code: VA01

Enter only the Main-item.

Then ENTER

Step: 7

The Bom Explodes

Bom Explodes with the Sub-item.

Pricing is done only for the Main-item.

Then SAVE

Step: 8

Create Delivery

T-Code: VL01N

Picking is happening only for the Main-item and not the sub-item

Then SAVE

Then do billing.

Hi,

Super BOM: It is actually a multi level BOM. BOM within a BOM. Ex.: Computer, a BOM in this will be Monitor, CPU, Mouse etc., super BOM will be BOM for CPU like Hard Disk, Processor etc. So super BOM will be for computer and BOM within a BOM will be CPU.
