Authorization BI 2004s : Displaying / Hiding attributes in the report

Hi,

I have a query on a DSO where 0employee appears as one of the columns in the report. With 0employee, attributes such as Annual Salary (and others) is available for display.

Is there a way I can set security such that Annual Salary is available for display for 1 user and hidden for another user.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Stefan

Thank you for you response.

So you are suggesting that:

1. I should have Annual Salary as a 'display' attribute (not available for drilldown)

2. Mark it as authorization relevant

3. Assign the authorization to roles

So when user 1 runs the report, he can see annual salary

However, when user 2 runs the SAME report, he cannot see annual salary

Am I missing something important?

Thanks

Dear Praddep,

This can be achieved by setting "Annual Salary" to "Authorization Relevant".

Please keep in mind, that "Annual Salary" must not be in the report's drill down for a user who does not have appropriate authorizations.

Kind regards,

Stefan
