subcontracting scenario

in subcontracting scenario, iam ordering 2 finished goods for two plants by supplying single material from one plant only. iam receiving 2 products for two plants but supplying raw material from one plant only.

plz explain this issue.

Hi Ravi

Do it as below

1. Create subcontracting PO with 2line item with same plant of ur finish product

Both of this finish product has same raw material in its BOM.

2. The material u want to order for 2nd plant, add delivery address of 2nd plant in this line item. so ur vendor will send that directly to ur 2nd plant.

3. When material actually comes, there is no problem for ur 1st plant as u require that quantity for 1st plant only. But for line item 2, make goods receipt in 1st plant only. This will be ur virtual goods receipt. This will increase ur stock of 1st plant. Then make stock transfer of virtually received material to 2nd plant and make goods receipt of that STO in 2nd plant so stock from 1st plant will redue and will increase in 2nd plants stock.

This will solve your problem. Also leagally u'll be also on right track.
