hi all,

I have requirement for an ALV report with an initial set of 5 fields for display which i have completed using the ALV grid display.

Then the user has to select on further fields for display from the Field selection button at the top.

But how to include the additional fields in the field selection.

Appreciate your inputs.

HI,

You can make layout variants for those 5 fields in the initial display. And make the variant as the default variant.

Then the user can further select the additional fields he wants.

create the fieldcatalog for all the fields . Just make an addition

fieldcat-no_out = 'X' for those fields which you dont want to show in the first output.
