Hi All

can anybody tell me what is the difference between the <b>creat material(immediate)</b> and <b>creat material (schedule</b>)while creating material master.

Hi Avi,

Both MM01 and MM11 are used for creation of material master Only difference in MM11 is that u need to give the scheduling date for the creation of such record.

Then the material gets created on the <b>scheduled date</b>. and in MM01 it will available immediatly

Consider ur planning to manufacture a new FG after 3 months.

And it contains around 50 items.

If u create it immediatly all the materials will be available in your system immediately.and any one can process these materiala whereas u need this material after 3 month. It leads to confusion while creating physical inventory doc & MRP runs etc.

The best practice is, material should be available before ready to use. To achive this you schedule the creation of materials accordingly.
