When you have to do the same kind of customizing settings in more than one system like ERP, CRM & SRM, then customizing synchronization feature of Solution Manager can be used to avoid the duplication of effort and to maintain consistency across systems.
The customization can be done in the one system(say ERP system) and the CRM & SRM systems can automatically be synchronized to this customizing settings using tools like Customizing Scout & Customizing Synchronization of Solution Manager.
