Preliminary Program Data Medium Exchange (DME)
Preliminary program DME is used to evaluate the payroll results to create payment data. The creation of payment data is the first step in the wage and salary payments process.
This process transfers the employee payroll net payment amounts to a runfile that is used by AC Check printing and Direct Deposit Bank Transfer programs. The payroll run should be executed and a Bank Transactions (BT) cluster is generated in payroll for the employee.

Hi,
DME is an interface and it stands for Data Medium Exchange.
For example in APP - For Bank Transfers we have to use DME file. After run the payment program, system will generate DME file, that we have to send it to Bank.
Same as for Tax also. but we have to sit with ABAP guy and develop. yes we can create DME for that. But better use SAP Script Forms.

Hi,
DME - stand for DATA MEDIUM EXCHANGE
this is basically for the transfer of the payroll results to the bank in the form of the data disk etc
Now a days it is out dated there will be wire transfer or gateway is set up for the transfer of the payroll results
