What are all the things to be considered while creating storage location? Basically which module people will create STORAGE LOCATION?

MM PART:

menu path:

IMG..>ENTERPRISE STRU..>DEFINITIONS..>MM..>MAINTAIN storage location for DELIVERING PLANT.

MULTIPLE storage location has present in one plant.

SD PART:

STORAGE LOCATION DETERMINATION FOR DELIVERY TYPE

MALA,RETA MARE...>STORAGE LOCATION DETERMINATION RULE

Dear Ramesh,

Storage location basically MM module. If you extend the storage location to Material / Plant use to T-code - MMSC.

If you maintain/creation the storage location plant wise -

IMG-Enterprise Structure-Definition-Materials Management-Maintain storage location.

Basically storage loaction will be created by the MM people it is under MM module.

Assign point if its usful.

Storage Location

A Storage Location is the location of physical deposits of stock within a plant.

Proposal: At the University, we will use these as shipping location. Individual departments will be defined as storage locations.
