SAP R/3 got stopped with ORA-01034 error

Hi all,

My SAP R/3 4.7,got stopped, and i am getting ORA-01034: Oracle not available

ORA-27101: Shared memory relam does not exists, what are the steps i have to follow to make my R/3, with which user ID i have to log-in to oracle and what are the things i have to check to make my SAP up? I am unable to connect to my ORACLE instance.

OS : Windows 2003 server

Please perform the following and check...

1. Reboot the system

2. Make sure all the Oracle Services in services.msc are running.

3. Try starting Oracle using

Sqlplus /nolog

SQL>Connect / as sysdba

SQL>Startup

4. If not successful please paste the contents of oracle alert log file.

I Followed the steps, i have a question of you, my server is SAP R/3 4.7 what's the USER name i have to give ? Is that ORAADM or some thing else? some one told ECC 5.0 ORACLE users got changed , It's different form R/3 right... let me know the user what i ahve to use?

Are you talking about the user used to login to the system? If yes please use <SID>ADM
