Hello Rishi,

Configurable products (and variant product configuration and variant pricing) are supported in CRM, including the Interaction Center WebClient. However, please be advised that the Interaction Center WebClient does not have its own Opportunity screen, nor an own Quotation screen. Rather, it is possible to call the PCUI (People-Centric User Interface) Opportunity screen inside the Interaction Center L-Shape layout. Also, there is no separate transaction for Quotations in the Interaction Center. Rather, in the Interaction Center, you use the Sales Order document for both quotes and orders. To create a quote for a line item in an order, you check the "quotation" flag. So you can have some line items that are quote items, and other items that are order items. This is different than the standard CRM order concept of converting a opportunity to a quote to an order.

I hope this answer helps.

Warm regards,

John

thanks John,

this is also one of the considerations which we are debating wether to get PCUI screens into IC WEB.

is this also true for SAP CRM 5.2 IC webclient, does the process of having separate oppty and Quote screens supported in 5.2? since PCUI no more available in SAP CRM 5.2.

pls let me know your thoughts

thanks

Hello Rishi,

Yes you are correct. As of CRM 2006s (CRM 5.2), the rest of CRM now also runs on the WebClient framework -- meaning that PCUI and SAP GUI are no longer required or supported for business users. Instead, it is possible to call any CRM screens (like the CRM Opportunity) directly inside the Interaction Center via NavBar configuration.

The Quote is a bit more interesting of a topic, since you could either call the CRM Quote or use the standard Interaction Center sales order options (of which there are a few) such as CRM Sales Order, CRM Sales Ticket, ERP Order, or R/3 order. This is probably more a business decision that should be discussed with your project team and consultants rather than taking the advice of some guy on the Internet

Warm regards,

John
