When creating a new transport in SE10. What determines whether I say Workbench or Customizing? What determines whether the type is then Repair or Development/correction?
Thank-You

If you change a standard object in SAP a repair request will be created. For example creating an index, working with formulas or requirements etc.
If you create a zprogram or a ztable for example they will be assigned to a development/correction request.
Workbench Vs Customizing
All ABAP work (Repair and Development/Correction) are called Workbench requests where any configuration changes are assigned to Customizing request.
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks,

If you are working on ABAP Work bench developments then it should workbench request other than this customizing.

Hi Tom,
it depends on the type of objects you are going to include in that transport.
Lets say all customzing changes(SPRO transaction changes) generally go in customizing request and all ABAP workbench changes(All SE38, se37. se80 and so on) goes in workbench request.
Correction is only for changes to to standard SAP programs such as through SAP notes.
