Location Type different in APO and R/3

We have some locations that have been created manually in APO as Distribution Centers. The same locations are present in R/3 as storage areas.

We now want to CIF planned stock transfer orders between these locations from APO to R/3. How do we do it? Do we need to do some mapping in the CIF before we transfer these orders?

You can try using report /SAPAPO/CHECK_LOCATION_TYPE to switch the location type of the location. This will update table /SAPAPO/LOCMAP that gets checked in the CIF.

Note: SAP does not suggest to execute this report in Production.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I think the location should be first created in R/3 and then CIFed to the APO... After that you'll be able to CIF master datas and transactionnal datas between the two systems...

Hi,

That is correct. But we had created the location separately in APO.. Now is there a way out for this.? It will be little difficult to delete these locations in APO and then CIF them form R/3 now. We already have good amount of data for these locations.
