Hi

Qm Gurus

Can Anybody Tell me the cycle of Source Inspection

As Per My Knowledge we can decide Source Inspection In QInfo Record

Here We Gave lead time Days

Then In QI07 we trigger it Manually & generate Inspection Lot .

My Quesion is how it trigger Automatically.This inspection lot is not Stock Relevant? why

Hi Sanjay,

Its Keerthi again....To trigger it source inspection automatically, you need to create a variant for the Vendor, Material and Plant combination and schedule it periodically or once using T.code QA51. It is Non-stock relevant inspection coz. it is created before GR is done i.e. while creating the PO itself. We can only record the results and UD, but cannot get the hold on the stock which is not at our premises.

Here are the steps and settings for Source inspection:

In Q-infor record, select source inspection. Activate 01 insp type for material master in the QM view.

ME21N-CREATE PURCHASE ORDER

QI07-WORKLIST OF SOURCE INSPECTION -Select Create insp. lot and save.

QA32-INSPECTION WORKLIST

QA11-UD FOR SOURCE INSPECTION

MIGO-GR

QF11-DEFECT RECORDING

QA11-UD FOR GR

QA12-INCASE TO CHANGE QUALITY SCORE

QA13-TO CHECK HISTORY CHANGES

source inspection is one which you are going to the vendor premises and doing the inspectionthen based on the inspection you are confirming the quality only.

but the stock should physcially come to the stores ,hence it is a stock relevant.

then you post the goods receipt saying you have received the material based on purchased order.straitway you cannot accept the goods by doing source inspection
