cFolders data migration

Hi,

How can we migrate the cFolders data(cFolders folders,cFolders documents and cFolders objects) to new system i.e from cFolders 3 to cFolders 4.

Hello Abhijt,

When upgrading a cFolders system, data do not have to be migrated if the logical system used for cFolders is not changed. (i.e.: the server for cFolders is not changed or the logical system used by cFolders on the server is not changed).

If the logical system or server should be changed during the upgrade, the client of the existing server has to be copied via a Client Copy to the new server before doing the upgrade on the new server.

Then the Upgrade can be done, but you have to check, whether a direct upgrade from 3.0 auf 4.0 is possible or it is necessary to upgrade first to 3.10 and then to 4.00 zu gehen. (This depends among others on the WAS currently used)

Thanks for your reply.

We have cFolder 3.1 with some data.Now we want to scrape that cFolders 3.1 and will start working with new cFolders 4.But we want some selected folders with object(doc,folder,discussion) on our new cFolders 4.

This data(selective) migration is possible with client copy?
