error while creating stock

hi,

While creating stock in mb1c i got an error saying "posting period 010 2007 is not open"

can some body let me who we could solve this issue.

Hi

Open the posting periods Go to <b>MMPV </b>to open the current period and to close use <b>MMRV</b>

Tcodes:

MMPV : Close period

MMPI : Initialise Period

OMSY: Close the period form MM Point of Vies..

OB52 : Close the period From Financial Point of View

go to transaction code MMPV and give the company code AND the period and year and press execute.

Hi Sneha

The good or bad thing in FI is that you can open and close any periods at a time, as you said even 10 years (T Code OB52) but GR is part of MM and in MM at a time you can open only two periods the current and the previous period (MMPV), that is why you are not able to post

use T-code:MMPV to close and open periods.

you should open the "Posting Period 2007 10" using T-code <b>MMPV</b> one by one.
