How to attach J2ee Engine....

I want to know that how can we attach the J2EE Engine to my WD Application..

Pls Help me out......

Hi,

Go to

Window-> Prefences->SAP J2EE->

Either you can set your J2EE engine to a remote host

using by specifying the Message server host and Message Server Port.

You can get this details from your basis guys....

OR to a local system

by selecting instance installed.

Hi,

If you have the j2ee installed on the same machine on which you have your NWDS then you can select the local server and select the one by clicking on the browse button.

Window>Preferences>SAP j2ee engine>local Server>browse-->select the server

If you have remote server then you select the remote server option

Window>Preferences>SAP j2ee engine>remote server>servername(name of your server machine) and port would be (36<instance number> or 39<instance number>).

Hi,

Is your J2ee engine is in your local system or in Remote I mean installed in another system.

Based on your J2ee engine there s an option NWDS .

Windows> preferences->J2eeengine--->Select the radio button based on your sever availability.

If you select the remote server

Messge server Host: EP host name

Messge server Port :3601

Otherwise select the second option

server instance s attached automativcally.

In NWDS, go to Window->Preferences->SAP J2EE engine

Set message server host and the port of the J2EE engine.

To get infornmation on J2EE engine login to the portal

http://hostname:port/index.html

System Infornmation

Login as Administrator with password .There you get the Message Server hostname and the port number.

Window> Preferences>SAP J2EE Engine-->

Select J2EE Engine installed on remote host

Give message server host IP

and port no which is 3900
