ARIS is a business proces modeling tool/product by IDS-scheer, altough a German company not (yet?) fully incorporated into SAP (Solman).

It is possible to transfer a (set of) business proces(ses) from ARIS to Solutionmanager. In return you can synchronise from one systemm to the other. You can then for example update your business model in ARIS with SAP transactioncodes, customizing- or help-information from SAP Solutionmanager.

The current version ARIS For Netweaver has functionality to import the Model made in ARIS to be imported into IR of XI as BPEL.

The Next version, expected to be released in 2006 will have the entire ARIS toolset inside the XI repository itself

You can use ARIS for SAP NetWeaver as a modeling environment to import predefined process models as reference content from SAP Solution Manager. You can enhance these models and synchronize them with SAP Solution Manager.ARIS for SAP NetWeaver provides various functions to evaluate, refine, and optimize business processes.

By synchronizing SAP Solution Manager with ARIS for SAP NetWeaver you create the connection between the SAP solution and your company’s business processes
