File/FTP Adapter : Getting blank line at the end of target file

Experts,

I have a receiver File adapter type ( Transport Protocol FTP ) ,and this creates a .TXT file on my target directory.

Everything works well EXCEPT that i get blank lines at the end of the file . I am using Variable substitution to pass a filename in the adapter .

I dont undertstand why i am getting these blank lines at the end of file and also dont know How to remove these blank lines .

ANY COMMENTS ??

how many blank lines u get? also what are ur FCC parameters and the receiver structure?

I am getting two blank lines at the end of file . One is by default i think and the other one is because i am doing a 'Cut ' on one of my recordset structure field.

Below is my FCC :

Recordset structure : line,filename

Name Value

line.fieldNames line_detail

line.fieldFixedLengths 1200

filename.fieldNames file_path

filename.fieldFixedLengths 0

filename.fixedLengthTooShortHandling Cut

I am getting one blank line because of this 'Cut ' and i need this since i do not want this recordset structure value in my target file.

ANY COMMENTS ??

Hi,

I dont think u will get blank line due to Variable substitution.Check ur file once again.
