Hello!

I have problems with the exetuion of two steps for the establishing of Service Desk.

1 question) Manually Create and Assign the Component Systems as iBase Component

In description we have:

" A. Choose installation 1 (SOL_MAN_DATA_REP) in transaction Change Installation (IB52).

You go to iBase maintenance."

"B. Select Solution Manager Installation in the left-hand tree."

Comment: I do not see any installation in the left-hand tree

2 question) Assign Business Partners to iBase Components

A. In transaction Change iBase (IB52), enter in field Installed Base '1'

B. Select the relevant system or system/client

C. Choose Goto -> Partner

comment: I do not see this menu

Has some one here practical experience and can kindly give me some technical description or my errors

Thank you very much!

regards

Thom

Hi Thom,

Question 1:

Does iBase number 1 exist? To verify this go to IB52, enter the number 1 in the installed base field and hit the Enter key.

If it doesn't exist, did you do the IMG step "Initially Create and Assign the Component Systems as iBase Components"

IMG Path

SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide > SAP Solution Manager > Basic Settings > SAP Solution Manager System > iBase > Initially Create and Assign the Component Systems as iBase Components

Activities:

In transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER, open a solution.

Choose Edit -> Initial Data Transfer for iBase.

The data is copied automatically. Navigate to transaction Change Installed Base (IB52) to view the iBase systems for the solution. The iBase systems are automatically assigned to SOL_MAN_DATA_REP (installation "1").

An iBase component is created for each system installation number. For each solution repeat these steps.

Question 2:

If you cannot see this tree in Question 1, you won't be able to do this.

Jason

Hello!

Thank you very much!

If I execute Tcode IB52, type "1" in the installation field and push enter, I get the runtime error:

Syntax error in program "CL_IBASE_IBOF_TREE============CP ".

Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "CL_IBASE_IBOF_OBJID===========CP" had to be

terminated because it has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

The following syntax error occurred in program

"CL_IBASE_IBOF_TREE============CP " in include

"CL_IBASE_IBOF_TREE============CCIMP " in

line 1777:

"Der Typ "CL_IBASE_IBOF_DRAG_DROP" ist unbekannt."

" "

The include has been created and last changed by:

Created by: "SAP "

Last changed by: "SAP "

Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "CL_IBASE_IBOF_OBJID===========CP" had to be

terminated because it has

some across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_IBASE_IBOF_OBJID===========CP" -

in "CLASS_CONSTRUCTOR".

The main program was "SAPLIBOF ".

In the source code you have the termination point in line 3

of the (Include) program "CL_IBASE_IBOF_OBJID===========CM003".

What can be done in such a case?

Thank you!

Hi Thom,

have you done the steps I outlines in the Question 1 answer? Even if you don't want to bring in the systems in your solution landscape automatically into the iBase, you need to run it so iBase 1 (SOL_MAN_DATA_REP) is created.

I am assuming you have done the other IMG tasks needed for SolMan, such as running the BC sets.

Hi Jason,

of course I executed the action "Initially Create and Assign the Component Systems as iBase Components".

I also activated BC sets.

Now as I mentioned I have the problem (runtime error) to access IB52 by entering "1" and pushing enter.

Can you helo me here please?

I have patched SOLMAN to SP13

Thank you very much!

Hi Thom,

I think you need to open a Support Message with SAP for this. Good luck.

Hello Jason,

are you familar with setting up Change Management?

What are the necessary steps (Tcodes, SPRO-steps), perhaps some useful documents to establish the Service Desk functionality?

Thank you very much!

Thom
