How we do Database Refresh on Prouction System? through BRTOOLS,
BRRECOVERY with -r option? Please help me....

the documentation referenced by Eric is not really up to date. It e.g. still uses SVRMGRL and CONNECT INTERNAL. So I would suggest that you better look at the current SAP standard homogeneous system copy procedures available at:
http://service.sap.com/systemcopy
In the sub section "media library" you can find the standard SAP documents for performing these kinds of refreshs.

point 4.b talks about usage of sqlplus vs. svrmgrl. so, he should be OK.

Why refresh ??
If you refresh your dev system from prod , U will have prod data on dev , you can testing and development purposes.
In gen Metadata is Data about a Data...
