BIA Query

Hi Gurus,

Can anyone update the below details

1. How to use BIA indexing in a cube which has more than 7 years of data and only 2 years of data needs to be indexed. i.e, 1 year actual(current loads) and 1 year history(intial Load)?

2. After Indexing BIA for a cube and indexing fails for some reason after some time(probably couple of months later) can i be able to use relational aggregates on that data?

or

Is there any way of maintaining both Aggregates and BIA indexes for cube simultaneously?

Any ideas are appreciated.

Hi

u can use the relartional aggregates of the cubes though that BIA indexing fails,the BIA indexes is no where related to aggregates,because BIA is the competetor for aggragates in the case of performance.why we go for BIA is the maintainance will be more in case of aggregates when compared with BIA.
