Stock determination rule - error

Hi,

while doing GR for subcontract Purchase order, iam getting below error message

for child items.

Message no : SP 006.

No stock determination rule for material XX Plant has been passed on.

But in the config and material master, i have not assigned stock determination rule.

Is there any other setting.

Pl Guide me to resolve this issue.

Hi,

Basically the stock determination is used to issue the materials on a priority basis from a various list of storage locations also from one of the two stock types ( either consignment or from unrestricted ).

Also we can config the setting in such a way that from a single storage location out of 4 valuation types of the same material, which valution type needs to be issued first or consumed.

I created stock determination procedure and assigned in material master for

child materials.

But iam not able to understand the concept of stock determination procedure.

Anybody can explain about this.

Hi Rams,

Go to the following IMG path setting :

1.SPRO ->Material Management -> Inventory Management and Physical Inventory ->Stock Determination -> Define Strategies for Stock Determination .

Check the Dialogue Structure.

Kindly check whether they have assigned any stock determination rule for the M.Type 543- , path> spro> inv mgt and phy inv> stk det>inv mgt in that just check it
