Goods Issue Posting

Hi,

While posting Goods Issue using VL02N, the following error is popped up

"item 000010 requires exactly i serial number for the asset".

Transaction History - I have created a Outbound Delivery using VL02N.I have then created a transfer order and confirmed the same.Now when i am posting the Goods Issue for the same Outbound delivery its throwing the error.

The material number is not a serial item number.

Appreciate if you can share your views, on how to resolve the issue.

Hi Krishna Rao,

This problem is related to Serial Number Management.

If you are maintaining the Serial Numbers for the materials at the time of the Goods Receipt, while doing Goods Issue also you need to supply the Serial No.s., without that it won't be able to do the Goods Issue.

Prerequisites:

1. Need to maintain the serial number profile in the Material Master in General Data/Plant view.

2. At the time of the goods receipt you need to maintain the serial no.s.

3. During outbound delivery, after the creation and confirmation of TO, go to VL02N, you need to supply the serial no. through Environment option and do the Goods Issue.
