hi all,
i have the following roles for my ID.
SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_ABAP
SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE
SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR_ABAP
SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR_J2EE
i can edit the ID objects but i cant edit IR objects.
give any clu how to edit and change the IR objects.

Hi,
check if checkbox "no edit" in your software component version (IR) is set.
You will find it on the lower side if you dubleclick "software component version"
Remove the flag!

the SWCV must be checked "NON MDIFIABLE" check in the lower part screen of the SWCV details...if you are able to edit in the ID the no speciifc roles required for IR...it should work...
1. Make sure your SWCV allowing you to edit.....
2. Make sure the Obejcts is not locked under your Username or some other username --goto the Administartor optinon in the SXMB_IFR link and there Lock overiew check it should be empty.
