SAP login parameters when SSO is implemented

How are the login parameter values affected on an SAP server when SSO is implemented? For example if the authentication is being done on a Windows server which has the values set to change the password every 40 days and on the SAP server the login/password_expiration_time is set to 30, which would have precedence?

Steve,
My understanding of how SSO works is that SAP is trusting the Microsoft domain that the user is valid. SAP does not check the SAP password during logon, it checks with the domain, so the Microsoft password life would have prececedence.
