Hi All,
i want to create a folder under the Root directory in KM . So i have decided to create File system repository in the Content management ..
I have created File system repository with the following properties :
Active :checked
Hide in Root Folder: not checked
Send Events :checked
Property Search Manager : not set
Repository Services : not set
ACL Manager Cache : not set
Security Manager : not set
Description
Prefix (must start with /) : /demo
Windows Landscape System : blank
Read-only : not checked
Lookup mode : caseless
Read-only Content Expiry Delay:
Root Directory: /usr/sap/ij1/SYS/global/config/cm/demo
But i am not able to see <b>demo</b> folder under the root .. what could be the reason .
i went to monitoring--> KM --> Component monitoring --> demo --> all the status is in running state .
To map a network drive from the portal server
1.Log on to the Windows Server of the Portal.
2.From the Microsoft Windows Start menu, open Windows Explorer.
3.Choose Tools  Map Network Drive.
4.Specify the drive letter for the connection (say V:).
5.In Folder, enter the path of the shared folder, and choose Finish.
Create the File Repository in the Portal
1.Choose System Administration  System Configuration  Knowledge Management  Content Management  Repository Managers  File System Repository.
2.Choose New.
3.Enter a prefix that describes your folder.
4.Enter the value of the drive letter you mapped previously with a forward slash.
5.(optional) Select the checkboxes for layout and properties from Repository Services.
6.Choose OK.

Thanks for your reply .. can you please try to answer to my question .. I am not able to even see the default file system repository folder that comes with the portal installation (<b>etc </b> repository) , under the root .. please let me know if we have to do any configuration steps for KM ,, this is a brand new system ..
