How the Communication Channels are being registered/created/compiled/used?

Dear XI champions!

I was curious if there is anybody who knows how a Communication Channel (CC from now) is

Being registered, when I create one. Which table is going to be used to save the changes(is it a table anyway?)?

Being created, when I saved and activated the change request?

Being compiled, when I activated the change request, and I put the CC status to "active"?

Being used, means by which table, objects are queried when it's starting to do anything?

I would appreciate any answers to widen our knowledge.
