Failed on CreateSecureStore step

I try to install ECC6 with DB2V9 FP3 on RedHat AS4 U5. The installation process stopped on step "CreateSecureStore", which was followed by "Import ABAP" step. I pasted log files below.

I don't know how to solve it, guess it is a Java problem. I issued command "./j2sdk-1_4_2_15-linux-i586.bin" to install java and export JAVA_HOME as global variable. I am not sure whether the java installation is complete.

Please advice.

Hello James,

You have this problem because a SAPCAR command hasn't been completed on the file which is located to your install java dvd directory. JAVA_DVD_DIR/J2EE_OSINDEP/J2EEINSTALL.SAR

You can extract it manualy from JAVA_DVD_DIR/J2EE_OSINDEP/J2EEINSTALL.SAR to your SAPINST install directory using SAPCAR. The path of this install directory are something like the folowing: inst_dir/ERP/ORA/SYSTEM/CENTRAL/AS/install

Once you will have extracted the J2EEINSTALL.SAR please launch SAPINST again and the installation will continue.

Your trick worked. I extracted the files under the install directory of sapinst and did a retry (did not start the sapinst again) it worked.

The above solution worked. I faced the same problem.

When the 'install' directory was checked, found no files in it. Manually uncared the files to that folder. Restarted SAPINST & it worked fine.

Also, i changed the permission to the '/AS' directory & its sub-directory to 777

Dear Guru's

I'm experiencing a similar problem when I try the export (homomogeneous system copy from ECC6/Solaris/Oracle 10.2.02 to Oracle 10.2.0.2/AIX 6.1)

When I look at my java media kit i cant find this file JAVA_DVD_DIR/J2EE_OSINDEP/J2EEINSTALL.SAR as explained by Olivier Vanderp. Could he be refering to a different Java media ? Kindly let me know .Below is contents of my java media ie 51033513 SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 SR3 Java based Software Components
