Hi,

Any changes in PA30 (ESS) need to send a mail to the Managers outlook inbox .

Kindly let me know the Standard workflow template and to built the Custom function module in Rule .

If its just an email do u need a workflow for it? Configure dynamic actions which will call a subroutine when a change is made to the infotype and send email from that subroutine using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.(you can include the necessary logic for determining the approver in the same subroutine).

Hi Prasanth,

I have done this scenario for PA30 using a badi for UPDATE and written the custom code to send a mail to outlook. But the requirement is that i need to use a work flow. This is a POC , after some time they may revise.

Please write me more to use the subroutine in Dynamic action.

Hi,

Have a look at rule 168 which finds manager for a user.

It uses FM SWX_GET_MANAGER. You will be able to use this rule in your WF template to find manager .

Regarding sending work item to outlook of your manager , options are : RSWUWFML2 or extended notificaitons.
