Error in Process Chain

Hi experts,

I am trying to upload data to an InfoCube with Source System as Flat File. I am Getting the below Error:

Job BI_PROCESS_DROPINDEX could not be activated

(return code 8), return code 8 = invalid_target

I scheduled the upload thru. info package (manually with out process chain) and there was no error, data got loaded into the cube.

Can anyone please explain why the upload is failing when it is thru. Process Chain

Hi,

You could take out the dropindex process from the chain and test it to to see if the error is with that process definition.

Hi GKRR,

Just check the process variant for the process BI_PROCESS_DROPINDEX. I think this error is being triggered because the infocube name given in the variant is not correct. Thanks.
