Regarding calendar in English

Hi Friends

In my application i developed calendar but it is coming in chinese

How to change the Calendar in English...I mean how wikll i get English

dates,month and year

Hi Shravan,

Try these options

1) Change your Internet Explorer [The Browser which you are using] language

2) In Application Level, ie in Webdynpro

a)Go to <Your project name>>Webdynpro>Applications--><Your Application>

Double click on your Application name

b) Go to <b>Application Properties</b> TAB, Add a <b>New </b>Application Property

c) Click on "<b>Browse</b>" and Select <b>DefaultLocale</b> and mention the Value as

<b>en_US</b> [If you didnt mention any thing here by default it will take browser's language]

3)In your Portal check the language setting of particular user in identity management

I have done as u said but still in my application i have calendar still showing in chinese...i want english months to be shown but ia m getting all chinese months and years which i is not my requirement.....

Is there any other solution

Hi,

You can create a simple type and give the Calendar Format as dd/MM/yyyy there.

I feel that should help you.

Hi Shravan

1) Try to give <b>en_GB</b> in your Application Properties

make sure that en_GB is in the same case,i meant to say that CASE SENSITIVE

• GB means Great Britain

Hi

Date Picker takes the format from the ur Browser Settings .

Try changing the language preference to English-UK.Now it will show english dd/mm/yyyy format.

tools>internet options> general>Languages>add
