Hello friends,
How the costs are calculating in TR code co03 for targeted/actual costs in production activity.( cost analyses for production activity )
please give me the steps/TR codes.
thanks
suri
You will get to see the costcenter/activity type on the first column, when you see the costs via Goto>costs>analysis of CO03.
You will also get to see the actual quantity used there. You can go to KP27 for the version 0 and period 1 -12 and for the costcenter and the activity seen above. The activity price would maintained there. This is maintained for a price unit, say 1000 hours, you have to appropriately apply that rate for the actual time spent in that order, seen via CO03.

Hi,
Good afternoon and greetings,
Based on the Standard Cost Estimated created for a material using CK11N & CK24 or CK40N, the material has the standard cost updated in the material master. When a Production Order is created, it is also costed and has the status PRC (Pre-Costed) based on the cost estimated and it is updated in the Production Order as Planned Cost. The target cost is the recalculation of planned cost based on the actual quantity. For ex., if the planned cost for 10 PC is say £100 and we manufacture only 7 PC, the system calculates the target cost as £70 and finds the variance.
The actual cost goes into production order based on the production order confirmation process, wherein you bring in the Finished Goods (MT101) and the Raw Materials and Semifinished goods (MT261) are consumed, the system uses the costing sheet and calculates the actual cost and post to the production order. The difference between planned or target vs. actual is called variance which is settled during the month end.
The Raw material prices are picked up from the material master price, the Labour Cost are populated using the Activity Type Prices that was determined using KP26 and Routing (which has Work Centres and that has the Activity Type) and the Overheads are applied using the Costing Sheet.
Please reward points if found useful.
Thanking you,
With kindest regards
Ramesh Padmanabhan
