Issue of material from Work In Progress (WIP) to storage location

Dear All,

The raw material m1 is converted to semi finished material sm1 in production process.

Now the material sm1 must be issued to sub-contractor for further process. For that I need the material to be transfered into my storage location, so that from there I can issue the material to sub-contractor by using the transfer posting 541.

So, how can I get the material sm1 into my storage location with reference to production order.

Please provide a solution for this problem.

Has the production been booked for that material? I mean are the production activities are through for that material. After that you should be able to use the stock transfer from Sloc to Sloc ( movement type 311).

Once you do production order confirmation, you will see the stock in the specified (in Production Order) storage location. You can do 311 or 541 from that storage location itself,

Once it is at vendor's premises, the storage location does not matter.
