Requested delivery date in Inquiry

Hi,

At the time of Inquiry system ask for Requested delivery date, why this field is mandatory, how to make this field optional.

Hi,

Go to transaction code <b>"VOV8"</b> - select your inquiry document type - double click on it - in the <b>"requested delivery date/pricing date/purchase order date"</b> section you have a button for <b>"propose delivery date"</b> - <b>click on it</b> and save the settings. There <b>should be a tick on this button</b>, if not then the system will make it mandatory in the respective sales document.

Now got & create the inquiry, the system will automatically take the current date as the requested delivery date which you can change as per your requirement. Actually this date is the date <b>"needed by the customer"</b>. By default the system will take the current date as the requested delivery date but you can change it.

you can change using shdo, before that check your doc settings for del date

In the said field, in normal circumstances, current date will flow automatically and you need not to enter any date unless customer gives some target date.

Still would you like to change it to optional???

Hi Rajesh,

Requested delivery date is automatically proposed by the system depending on the settings made in VOV8.

Its a crucial piece of information that is required at every stage of the sales cycle. Depening on required delivery date only the quotation will be given.

If you still want that field to be mandatory use the trandsaction code SHD0
