Hi vadivel,

A schedule agreement contains details of a delivery schedule along with delivery dates

but

a contract just contains quantity and price information and no details of specific delivery dates

Thanks

Hi,

contract is an agreement between the customer and the company. It will have a validity date and the quantity or value. Based on the contract (Qty or value), orders will be created with reference to the contract and bill it, until the qty or value of the contract reached. It will not have a schedule line.

Scheduling agreement is also an agreement, the quantity will be devided into different schedule lines , and the delivery will be created based on these schedule line in the agreement.

The main different is contracts will not have schedule line, but scheduling agreement will have schedule lines.

Hi

In the case of contracts, the release order can be given on any dates till the contract expires.

In the case of Scheduling agreement- we give the delivery schedules in the agreement itself and we need not create any sales order/ release order. Based on the delivery date, it automatically gets included in the delivery due list.

Thanks,

Ravi
