How do i create a new line item (say 20) in reference to line item 10

Hi all,

I am trying to map a scenario where i want to create a new line item with reference to an existing line item. Where do i get this option in SD, and how could i go about it?

Hi Ravi

In sale order, you cannot create a new line with reference to a material which is already exists. But however, if you use Listing / Exclusion (Transaction Code <b>VB01</b>), you can avoid entering each and every item manually in the sale order.

In ECC6 if u go to VA01 and enter the SP and SH, Press Propose Item Icon, then one window will pop-up asking for Sale Document Number, enter the Number and select- selection list, there u will get all the line item of the Sale Doc. Select and copy Material

Hi i am on SAP 4.7. How could be the same handled here?

If the problem is with entering the material, u can create Item Proposal through VA51.

In VA51 enter the material details and save. One number will generate.

Assign this number to Customer master data.-- Sales Data--sales -- item proposal.

Now if iu go to VA01 and Press Propose item all the items will come for selection and u can choose from that
