Can a mail notification will sent whenever there is name change in IT0002 through Dyanamic action ???
Please let me know the process.
Hi
Coindentially even i am working on a similar requirement. You also need to take help from basis ppl. They will have to open SMTP ports for you. You can check on this through SCOT transaction.
If these settings are not made, you mails will not work even if the configuration is correct.
Regards
Minal

Setting Up Mail Connection for Infotype Changes
Follow the guidelines in the three IMG steps there:
Define conditions for sending mail
This step describes how to set the conditions for sending a message when
editing an infotype record.
Depending on the infotype, you can set the following parameters:
o In the field Type, you can specify an existing subtype.
o In the field Field, you can specify a particular infotype field.
A mail is sent only when a change is made to this particular field.
o In the field FC, you can specify the processing type (Create, Change
or Delete) or combination of processing types for which a mail is to
be sent.
o In the field A, you must enter the value M.
o In the field Variable function part, enter the name of the feature
which defines the mail attributes.
Standard settings
In the standard SAP system, feature M0001 is set up for field SACHP
(Personnel administrator for employee master data or personnel officer
for applicant master data) for infotype 0001 "Organizational Assignment".
M - Send a mail
Enter the name of the feature which defines the characteristics of the
mail.
Example
Infotype Field ..... Ind. Var.function part
- 0001 SACHP M M0001
A mail is sent when the field SACHP is changed. The characteristics of
the mail are defined in feature M0001.
In the standard system, feature M0001 is provided as a model. The
documentation on feature M0001 explains how to define the characteristics
of a mail.
Define mail attributes
This step explains how to use a feature to define:
o the text, which is composed of a standard text module and the
employee's or applicant's data
o the mail recipients
o the send attributes of the mail
o the processing possible from the mail
Requirements
In the Dynamic actions, you have specified that a mail is to be sent when
an infotpye is changed. You have also named a feature which can be
defined in this step.
The infotyspe Communication (0105) has been created for employees who
want to be informed when their master data changes by mail.
Standard settings
In the standard SAP system, feature M0001 is set up for field SACHP
(Personnel administrator for employee master data or personnel officer
for applicant master data) for infotype 0001 (Organizational Assignment).
In feature M0001 an example is delivered for master data for both
employees and applicants.
By way of an example, let us consider the feature specifications for
employee master data, i.e. TCLAS=A. When infotype 0001 (Organizational
Assignment) changes for an employee, the text MAIL_FOR_I0001_A is used as
the standard text. The mail is sent to the HR master data administrator,
the payroll administrator and the time management adminstrator. The
employee whose master data has changed, should also receive a mail. The
employee's mail address is stored in the infotype Communitcation (0105)
in subtype 0001. The mail will be stored in the senders outbox. You can
enter additional recipients or a distribution list in the following
features:
o RCIEV
o RCOLD
o RCNEW
Recommendation
Use feature M0001 as a template for copying.
Activities
Create features for all names to which you have assigned the value M in
the dynamic actions field A of the Variable function part field.
Caution
Since it is possible to access other features in the features you are
defining, you may have to change or create these features as well.
Further notes
You will find additional information on feature M0001 in the feature
maintaince which can be accessed by calling up feature M0001 and choosing
'Documentation'. Please also refer to the general documentation on
maintaining features which can be found in the manual "Tools" in the R/3
library under "Personnel Administration and Payroll".
Create standard texts for mail connection
This step describes how to create the standard texts for the mail
connection.
Example
The personnel administrator for an employee or the personnel officer for
an applicant is changed in infotype 0001, "Organizational Assignment". A
mail is now to be sent to certain persons within the enterprise to inform
them of this change.
Requirements
You have already specified in the Dynamic actions that a mail is to be
sent if changes are made to an infotype. You have also specified a
feature. This feature refers to standard texts which are to be created in
this step.
Standard settings
The standard SAP system contains two sample standard texts which you can
use as a model for creating your own standard texts. These are:
o MAIL_FOR_I0001_A (Change of personnel administrator for an employee)
o MAIL_FOR_I0001_B (Change of personnel officer for an applicant)
Please note that the standard text is stored under the text ID PAMA.
Activities
Create the standard texts you require under the text ID PAMA.
Further notes
Each mail comprises a header and contents. Specify the header in the
first line of the standard text, and enter the contents starting in the
second line.
In the standard text, you can use the fields of infotypes P0001 and P0002
and the infotype which triggers sending of the mail. If the trigger
infotype is infotype 0001, "Organizational Assignment", the fields in the
following structures are available:
*P0001 (Data before change)
P0001 (Data after change)
The standard settings for style and layout set are used for the mails.
