ho to all ,

can any body help me what is first date in sales order from where it will copy what is the impact of this in sales order........

Hi,

If it is first delivery date, it is calculated based on the proposed doc. date plus the lead time defined in the sales doc. type. based on this arrived date the system checks for the material availability and gives the first date of delivery if the material is available else the future date for the availability.

The delivery date for the schedule line. The delivery date can be the

--> Date requested by the customer, or (if the requested date cannot be met)

--> Earliest date proposed by the system after automatic availability checks and delivery scheduling

<b>Use</b>

The system uses the delivery date for each schedule line together with predefined time estimates for delivery activities (such as picking and packing) to determine the

--> Material availability date

--> Loading date

--> Goods issue date

--> Transportation planning date

<b>Dependencies</b>

If you want the system to automatically determine the above dates, the Delivery scheduling and Transportation scheduling fields must be active in the sales document definition ( Tools --> Customizing, Sales and Distribution --> Basic Functions --> Delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling --> Define scheduling by sales document type).

<b>Note</b>

If there is more than one schedule line for the item, the system displays the earliest delivery date in the item and overview screens.

Hi..

In VOV8 lead time & delivery date is there...First delivery date is calculated based on that.

In case of avalability check,procurement lead time,production lead time also taken into consideration..

Hi,

First delivery date is calculated based on the lead time defined in your system. system only confirms the quantity after processing availability check.

The impact on sales order is we cannot deliver item unless the first delivery date is reached.
