Hi,

IMG is Implementation Guide for R/3 Customizing.

For maintaning area menu and reporting tree, you can directly go to transaction SE43 and SERP.

IMG is customising the settings in SAP.

This can be accessed via T code SPRO.

The settings here will decide how each business transaction need to be carried out.

Generally most of the IMG settings are transportable. ie, The settings will be done in dev server and later moved to test server,After testing will be moved to produciton server.

You can see the module wise settings in cusotmising.

IMG is implementation guide. Use T code SPRO for configuration.

1: Base line configuration - here as a PP consultant, create plant, assgn to company code, also create factory calendar assign it to plant.

2: Detail configuration- Here set plant parametrers OPPQ, MRP related setting,

activate planning file entry, strategy group,MRP area etc. important is shop floor control, here set availability check, control key, order type dependent parameter, work center formula, confirmation parameter etc.
