i have a requirment where i have to create a method inside modifyview method.

The best practice is to create method in the assistant class or in a custom controller or in the component controller or in your view.

instead of creating a method inside a method, u can create a function module inside that modifyview method.

You don't create a method inside another method, rather you call it.
