In the case of support project documenting means, u need to do the documentation of client requirement, and ur modifications. It is for further reference.
And another way u need to the screeshots explanation to clients. It is also consider as documentation.

In Support projects, you have to document the changes you have made in the production system. Basically there are three types of support issues - Configuraition change, Development/ enhancement and Routine support.
Configuration - Means carrying ot customizing settings like creating payment terms, or making changes to Credit rep etc
Development / Enhancement - Any custom program (Z progra) needs to be modified, which will be treated as a development issue
Both configuraiton and development issues require documnetation in the form of what business requirement, changes proposed, Test results (Before and after scenario), user approval of the testing etc. Additionally for a dev issue, you have to document the FTS (Functional tech specs doc)
Support - Does not involve any documenting. It will have only an analysis provided to the business. To further your analysis made, you might have to document the screenshots.
