Launch Portal from Sapgui

Hello portal-experts!

I would like to launch the portal from SapGui, for example: Transaction ZPORTAL should open a browser window, automatically log on the user and display the portal.

I have configures SSO between the Portal and the ERP system and I know how to open a browser window (with the portal URL) but how can I enable automatic logon ? Or is there a more sophisticated solution ?

Hi, Usually when we set SSO bet portal nad Backend, we set backend as ticket accepting system and portal as issuing system, but in you case it will be reverse, Try setting Your backend as SSO ticket issure system and portal to accept,

Also in transaction RZ10, set parameter for login/create SSo ticket = 1.

Hello Ameya, I havel already set these parameters, with no effect. I think the problem is that the sapgui does not send a ticket to the browser. I do not know if that is possible.

Well, i guesss yes your backend doesnt sends a ticket to portal, usually std way is portal issues and backend accepts.i dont know if its possible to launch a portal on transaction that too without authentication.
